Rapper Lil Wayne arrested on drug charges

New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne, born Dwayne Michael Carter, was arrested in Atlanta on Monday for possession of several drugs, but police refused to disclose the specific drug names. Carter was released on bond following his arrest.

Carter has had a successful rap career since his teens. His most recent LP, "Tha Carter II," debuted at No. 2 and has sold over one million copies since its 2005 release.
