Everybody loves divorce
People.com has reported that Brad Garrett, Emmy winning actor and star of the upcoming Fox sitcom "'Til Death" has separated from his wife of seven years, Jill Diven.
The pair actually split almost a year ago, the 46-year-old actor told USA Today. But Garrett and Diven kept it under wraps from coworkers, family and friends. Garrett says the split was amicable and Diven is "an extraordinary woman." The couple has two children; Max, 7, and Hope, 6.
Garrett's star certainly seems to be taking off lately. Following the end of "Everybody Loves Raymond" the actor has kept busy with a 10-city stand-up tour with "Raymond" costar Ray Romano and his new series on Fox. Garrett and co-star Joely Fisher play a middle-aged married couple living next door to newlyweds.
"I knew that if I wanted to go back into television, I would want to do a character that was very far removed from Robert on 'Raymond,' which I felt this character was," Garrett told the Television Critics Association.
Let's hope the curse of another long running comedy (ahem, "Seinfeld") doesn't befall the stars of "Everybody Loves Raymond" as well.
