Country singer Mindy McCready withdraws guilty plea
McCready beat the driving under the influence charges back in May 2005 but was found guilty of driving under a suspended license.
McCready's attorney is claiming to have discovered documents proving her license was reinstated the day before she was arrested and is asking for a new trial.
This new trial is a bright spot in McCready's bleak legal history that involves pleading guilty to fraudulently obtaining drugs from a pharmacy in 2004, and being arrested and held for 10 days before being released on bail in 2005.
McCready's rap sheet continued to read like a real country song in 2005 when she revealed, during a court appearance, she had attempted suicide upon learning she was pregnant.
