Apprentice co-star gets famous "You're fired!" line
According to an article in today's New York Post the feisty co-star Carolyn Kepcher of Donald Trump's hit reality show "The Apprentice" has been fired. In the article it stated Mr. Trump thought she was becoming a "prima donna" and instead of being more focused on doing her job, her attention was more on being a TV star.
An "insider" who was quoted in the New York Post said, "Being on 'The Apprentice' went to her head. She was no longer focused on business. She was giving speeches for $25,000 and doing endorsements."
Kepcher, 36, as well as being one of Trump's sidekicks on "The Apprentice" also ran the Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff in Westchester. Kepcher has a son Conner and a daughter Cassidy.
According to The Apprentice's Web site, Ivanka (Trump's daughter) and eldest son Donald Jr. will be filling in for Carolyn and George respectively during a couple of the episodes. The Web site for the show doesn't reflect any news that Carolyn has been let go from the show, but it's very likely Ivanka Trump will be the permanent replacement for Carolyn.
The Post reports at least one person close to Trump said the split with Kepcher was amicable. "Trump told her what she had to do was take some time off and spend it with her family, and then get another job," the paper quoted an insider as saying. "They have a great relationship."
Spokesman for Trump, Jim Dowd, said, "Mr. Trump wishes her the best." Dowd is who confirmed to The Associated Press that she is no longer with the company.
