Eva Longoria, 31, vows she will never do another television series once “Desperate Housewives” ends. She has said that she would like to pursue her film career, but not until the series is over.

Longoria, who plays a rich, spoiled Gabrielle Solis in “Desperate Housewives,” wants to play more strong women roles in films. She would also enjoy doing a romantic comedy with some movie stars such as Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant, Jim Carrey or Vince Vaughan. She has already appeared in movies such as “Carlita’s Secret," “Hustler’s Instinct,” “Harsh Times” and more recently, “The Sentinel” with Michael Douglas.

The “Desperate Housewife” will have a small role in “How I Met My Boyfriend’s Dead Fiancée," which also stars the “Clueless” and “The 40 Year-Old Virgin” actor, Paul Rudd. The film will not be in theaters until 2007.

Longoria is filming the third season of “Desperate Housewives” with the rest of the ladies, which will not begin until its season premiere on ABC on September 24th.
