AUSTRALIAN TELLS FUNNY STORIES ABOUT LIVING THE ITALIAN LIFE DOWN UNDER

September 2006: Australian comedian Joe Avati embarks on a national tour of the United States for the second time, performing his brand-new show JOE AVATI LIVE, kicking off on Friday October 6th at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and wrapping up in San Diego in November.

During his first tour of the States in 2004, Joe left a substantial number of Italian-Americans with sore stomachs and hoarse voices as they laughed at his hilarious stories about living the life of an Italian in an English-speaking country.

Dubbed the "Italian Seinfeld", Joe's comedy surrounds the day-to-day life of his Italian family and all the outrageous things they do such as how his Nonna (grandmother) attempts to negotiate a discount after sneaking into the ?Çÿ8 items or less' aisle of the supermarket with a cart full of groceries, or when his Nonno (grandfather) thinks the world is over when the doctor orders him to stop drinking his beloved red wine!

Coupled with his spot-on delivery and down-to-earth Aussie charm, its relatable stories like these that make Joe a hit wherever he goes.

Joe says, "I'm really excited to be returning to the Italian community in America. The comedy I perform is so powerful because every Italian who grew up in an English-speaking country relates to every single story I tell on stage".

"It's unique and personal material like this that only makes it a fun night out, but unites the Italian community by celebrating being Italian. If you like in an Italian house or know an Italian, this is one show you should not miss!"
