Steve Irwin's Daughter to Follow in Father's Footsteps

Bindi Irwin will continue the family legacy with her own animal show.

Bindi Irwin, the daughter of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, is bringing her love of animals to the small screen, just like her father did. She will be staring in "Bindi, Jungle Girl" which will air on the Discover Kids network in early 2007. The show was originally supposed to also star her famous wildlife preservationist father, but has now become a solo effort since Steve Irwin's untimely death by a stingray on September 4. The show will also feature footage that the two filmed together before his passing.

Bindi, who was named after Irwin's favorite crocodile, is the oldest of two children. Steve and Terri Irwin also have a 2-year-old son name Bob.
