DVD Dribble

This edition of the DVD Dribble is made up of TV show seasons.

It's TV time once again for the DVD Dribble. All of the following DVDs are full seasons of some favorite television shows.

"The OC" is up first. For those who don't follow the FOX series, it involves a street-smart teen that moves in with a rich family. The character of Marissa Cooper makes her last appearances in "The OC - The Complete Third Season." The DVD includes all twenty-five episodes of season three, the making of the Subways video, "The Prom: From Script to Screen" featurette, "What's in a Name?" featurette, scene-surfing commentary, and gags and goofs.

Fans of the series "Smallville," which started out as a WB series and is now on the CW network, will be happy to know that season five is now available on DVD. The DVD, "Smallville - The Complete Fifth Season," contains all twenty-two episodes of the series, about a young Clark Kent, on six discs. The DVD also includes episode commentary, "Smallville's 100th Episode: The Making of a Milestone" featurette, unaired scenes, excerpts from the documentary "Look, Up in the Sky! The Amazing Story of Superman," and promo webisodes.

Another WB turned CW show is up next. "Gilmore Girls: The Complete Sixth Season" follows the life of a thirty-something mother and her teenage daughter. All twenty-two episodes of the sixth season have been put on six discs. The DVD contains an episode guide, English audio tracks, and French and Spanish subtitles.

"La Femme Nikita - The Complete Fifth Season" is the last TV DVD on this edition of the Dribble. "La Femme Nikita" revolves around a good-looking woman who uses her killing skills in an anti-terrorist organization. The eight episodes of the fifth season of "La Femme Nikita" are on three discs. The special features on the DVD are canceled scenes from select episodes, Season 5 Internet teaser with director introduction, and "Season 5: Declassified," which includes behind the scenes footage and cast member discussions.

Those who have never seen any of the above TV shows may want to check out the first seasons to know what they're all about before they check out the above DVDs.
