The Etheridge's Welcome Twins
Singer Melissa Etheridge and her wife Tammy welcomed twins, a boy and a girl, into their family on Tuesday. The couple named the boy Miller Steven and the girl Johnnie Rose. Both Tammy and the babies are doing well. In a statement posted on the 45-year-old singer's website, the couple said, "The creation of life brings about immeasurable love, and pours hope into the future... The joy will help carry us through our upcoming sleepless nights."
The twins are Tammy's first children. Etheridge has a 9-year-old daughter, Bailey Jean, and a 7-year-old son, Beckett, with her ex-girlfriend Julie Cypher.
Etheridge exchanged vows with the then Tammy Lynn Michaels, in Malibu in September 2003. Tammy is a 31-year-old actress who has appeared in the TV shows "Popular," "The L Word," and "Committed." She also played Max in the 2003 film "D.E.B.S."
