Girls Dressed Up as Superhero Get Kicked Out of School

Three girls show their “underpants“ as part of a costume.
According to FoxNews.com, three girls from Long Beach High School in New York were sent home from class on Wednesday for dressing up as Captain Underpants on the school's "Superhero" day.
Captain Underpants is the main character in a popular children's book series, who battles talking toilets. To mimic his appearance, the 17-year-old girls wore flesh colored leotards, stockings with white briefs over them and red capes.
Although one of the girls, Chelsea Horowitz, an honor student and softball player, claimed the costumes were not see-through, Principal Nicholas Restivo stated, "Yes, I know they weren't naked, but the appearance was that they were."
Horowitz also said, "All the teachers thought it was cute." However, Restivo didn't even know who the superhero was and said that it did not matter. He has set a new rule for costumes -- no visible underpants.
The two other students, Ashley Imhof and Eliana Levin were also asked to change outfits, thus proving that underwear-clad superheros are no match for school dress codes.
