Laguna Beach, Season 3 Episode 11

After last week's bonfire, Raquel is left heartbroken over Alex. Although she says she still has feelings for Alex, this does not stop her from accepting an invitation for a date from Nick. Meanwhile, Tessa vents to Rocky about her confusion over her relationship with Derek. Tessa feels like Derek is ignoring her and she is unsure about what she should do.

While Rocky admits she's not over Alex, Alex tells his friends he's happy to be broken up with Rocky. He lets them know he's moved on and makes plans to meet up with Lexie at a concert.

It seems that Rocky and Tessa are both batting 0 for 100 with the boys. Derek is on the beach with Cameron and tells him he's just not that into Tessa anymore. The boys laugh and refer to Tessa as a "stage five cling on," Cameron adds to the bash Tessa session by sarcastically saying to Derek, "I hooked up with your girlfriend in San Diego," Derek tells Cameron she is not his girlfriend.

As usual, Chase is there to comfort Tessa. She tells Chase her reservations about Derek, and Chase tells her not to worry so much just yet. He give her a three-day rule and says if after three-days Derek still ignores her, then he's not interested. Tessa, feeling better about her situation, snuggles up to Chase.

Once Rocky and Tessa get to the concert, their boy problems only escalate. Alex basically ignores Rocky at the door and Derek continues to ignore Tessa. Alex, obviously wanting Rocky to continue pining over him, gets upset when he sees Rocky with Nick and promptly calls her a "slut."

When Rocky steps outside, she sees that Alex has not stopped talking badly about her to his friends. Rocky is devastated by what she hears and ends up hiding behind a parked car crying. The next day, Tessa guarantees Rocky that she will find someone else, and Alex tells his friends Rocky is crazy and he wants no more to do with her.

Tessa finally decides to talk to Derek face-to-face. She ends up giving him an ultimatum; either he is officially with her or he's not. Derek chooses a platonic friendship and lets her know he does not want to pursue a relationship with her. Tessa and Rocky appear to be the nice girls in Laguna and it seems that the nice girls are finishing last.
