Ex-SNL Comedian Going on Tour

Former SNL funnyman taking his laughs to the masses.

Jim Breuer, who starred on the sketch comedy show, "Saturday Night Live," from 1995 to 1998, is taking his popular stand-up act on the road.

Tickets for Breuer's "Family Man" tour have already begun to sell like hot cakes. His Nov. 17 show at New York's Adelphi University has already sold out. His Nov. 30 show at New Jersey's Rutgers University is open to students only. Tickets to the South Beach Comedy Festival, where Breuer will be performing at Lincoln Center on Jan. 19, 2007, go on sale tomorrow for $35.00 each. The Festival will run from Jan. 17 to Jan. 20 and will also include the comedic talents of Jon Stewart, Hal Sparks, Roseanne, Margaret Cho, Bill Maher and many more. Breuer has gained immense popularity as a result of his show "Jim Breuer Unleashed" on Sirius Satellite Radio. The show is the 2nd most popular on the network next to Howard Stern, and this month marks Breuer's 2nd anniversary with Sirius.

The "Family Man" tour isn't the only one Breuer will be appearing on. The "Comedy Street" tour which is part of the "Heavy Metal Comedy" tour will also feature Breuer who will be backed by a full band. He will be performing some of his most popular comedic sketches such as "Metallica's 'If You're Happy and You Know It,'" and "AC/DC's 'Hokey Pokey.'" The location of this tour will be announced soon.

Besides Breuer's stint on SNL, he has starred on the big screen in 1998's Half Baked and voiced a character in 2000's animated sci-fi flick, Titan A.E., which also included the voices of Matt Damon, Bill Pullman, Drew Barrymore and Janeane Garofalo.

In addition to his tour appearances, Breuer has a brand new gig. He will be the new host of the VH1 show "Web Junk 20," replacing Patrice O'Neal. The premiere episode of the show with Breuer at the helm debuts on Nov. 16 at 12 a.m. Check out http://www.vh1.com for more information on the show.
