Rolling Stones Tour Has the Biggest Bang of Them All

After shaking U2 from the top, the Rolling Stones may be extending their tour success into next year.

With $437 million in revenue since kicking off in August 2005, the Rolling Stones' "A Bigger Bang" tour has smashed U2's record to become the biggest-selling tour of all time, Billboard says.

The title previously belonged to U2's "Vertigo" tour. The Stones now hold two of history's top three concert tours, with "Bang" joining the success of their 1994 "Voodoo Lounge" tour.

Yet the legendary rockers may not be stopping there. After several dates were cancelled due to injuries and illnesses, the Stones say they will likely extend the tour into next year to compensate for the scrapped shows.

"I don't think we're done," said the Stones' tour producer, Michael Cohl. "There are still a lot of cancellations in Europe that the band feels obligated to try and make up. So I wouldn't be surprised if it keeps going next year."

If the tour is extended, the Stones are expected to reach $500 million in box office sales.

In addition to the tour, the band recently filmed a show at New York's Beacon Theatre, which is set to be included in a Martin-Scorcese-directed feature film.
