Comedian Tracy Morgan Arrested
According to the AP, current "30 Rock" actor/comedian Tracy Morgan was arrested Tuesday on drunken driving charges. Morgan, who is also well known for his years on "Saturday Night Live", was pulled over around 4:30 a.m. in Upper Manhattan and smelled of alcohol. Police report that he failed a breathalyzer test when brought in to the 28th Precinct.
A spokesman for the District Attorney's office, Edison Alban, said that Morgan was to be arraigned in Manhattan's state Supreme Court specifically on charges of driving while intoxicated (DWI) and driving while impaired. Unfortunately, this is not the first drunken driving arrest for Morgan, who was caught in Hollywood about one year ago with a blood alcohol level of 0.13 (legal limit being 0.08).
Morgan's publicist and/or attorney have yet to release any statements concerning the arrest.
