Hilary Duff and Joel Madden End Relationship

Two split, but no reason given for the split.

After two-and-a-half years of romance, Hilary Duff and Joel Madden have called an end to their relationship, according to People magazine.

"I can indeed confirm that Joel is single," Good Charlotte manager, Steve Feinberg, told the magazine. "We are not going to elaborate on Joel's personal life but I will say they have split."

Madden showed up at the Chicago hot spot, Enclave, on Wednesday night where he told people he and Duff had split up. He "seemed pretty upset," the witness said, according to People.

Madden, 27, and Duff, 19, went public with their relationship last year, and Madden had a big hand in creating Duff's most recent album.

"I've found the perfect person," Madden told People, in October, of Duff. "She's confident, she accepts me for my imperfections and she is good to me. I never have to question if she's going to be there, because I know she will be."
