Snoop Dogg in the Pound for Third Time
Snoop Dogg, one of the most popular rap stars of our time, was arrested in Burbank, CA, along with two of his close associates, immediately following a performance for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Police were ready and waiting, armed with a search warrant for Snoop's vehicle, in which they found a handgun and small amounts of marijuana and cocaine.
Because of two earlier arrests for carrying weapons, Snoop will face an extra charge of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, along with the drug issues. The rapper was already scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 4th to plead his case on one of the earlier arrests, and now Snoop will be arraigned for the current incident on Jan. 11th.
The two other men arrested were Michael Mingo and Lovell Polk, who acknowledge gang involvement, besides being friends of Snoop Dogg. Snoop was released on $60,000 bail, but this third arrest in three months has serious legal implications for the music legend.
