It's a Girl for Coppola

Sofia Coppola and boyfriend, Thomas Mars, welcomed a baby girl into their family on Tuesdsay.

Director, Sofia Coppola, gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday in Paris. This is the first child for the 35-year-old Lost in Translation director and her boyfriend, French musician, Thomas Mars. The couple named the baby Romy, after Coppola's brother Roman.

Coppola and Mars met in 1999 when Mars' band, Phoenix, recorded a song for her film, The Virgin Suicides. At the time, Coppola was married to director Spike Jonze. The two were married from June 1999 to December 2003.

The new baby was brought into a famous family. Sofia's father is The Godfather director, Francis Ford Coppola, and she is the cousin of actors Nicolas Cage and Jason Schwartzman.
