Microsoft's Latest Products Being Offered to Businesses

Microsoft shows off its new products, but just to businesses for now.

Microsoft has unveiled the latest versions of its Windows and Office programs to businesses, but consumers will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on them.

According to http://www.nytimes.com, the New York Times website, "The products, led by Windows Vista and Office 2007, are being made available immediately to business customers, but they will not arrive in the consumer market until after the holiday shopping season, on Jan. 30." Microsoft hasn't unveiled a new operating system since Windows XP, five years ago.

The products were revealed at a marketing event in New York. The New York Times article went on to say, "Microsoft emphasized not only its desktop products, but also how they will work with its server software to increase productivity by making it easier for workers to collaborate in online teams, retrieve and reply to e-mail messages by phone using voice-recognition software, and easily search for information inside their laptop or across their corporation."

Many have been using the Beta versions of the products, eagerly awaiting the reveal of Windows Vista 2007 and Microsoft Office 2007. Unfortunately, due to delays, the products will not make it to the marketplace in time for the company to cash in on the holiday sales boom.
