Angelina Jolie finally debuts her feelings about lover Brad Pitt.
In the January edition of Vogue, Angelina Jolie discusses her relationship with Brad Pitt for the first time in a public interview.
She had said that the couple felt a "deep emotional bond," while on the set of their movie, Mr.& Mrs. Smith, in 2003-2004.
Jolie also confessed that neither of them were "looking for love," especially her since she was content to being a single mother at the time. "Brad was a huge surprise to me. I think we were the last two people who were looking for a relationship – I certainly wasn't."
She gushed over the fact that she just couldn't wait to get to work on the set with Pitt. She would actually look forward to working, because she was working with him. The couple grew an instant bond. "A few months in I realized, 'God, I can't wait to get to work.' Whether it was shooting a scene or arguing about a scene or gun practice or dance class or doing stunts, anything we had to do with each other, we just found a lot of joy in it."
And as for the whole Jennifer Aniston situation? Jolie says that she knew that Pitt was off limits and didn't want to push that. She knew that he was "with his best friend, someone he loves and respects." Jolie has only met Aniston once and would "welcome" another meeting if the Friend's star would offer.
Jolie also states that there are no marriage plans in the near future for the two lovebirds. She explains that the two are committed to raising their children together and there is no need for marriage because that doesn't guarantee a life of happiness. "We've both been married before, so it's not marriage that necessarily kept some people together. We are legally bound to our children, not to each other, and I think that's the most important thing."
