Fourth "Indiana Jones" Movie to Start Filming in 2007
Nearly 20 years after Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, star Harrison Ford will soon be dusting off the fedora hat when filming for the fourth Indiana Jones film begins in 2007.
"It's going to be fantastic," director George Lucas said Friday. "It's going to be the best one yet."
Lucas said he and director Steven Spielberg have finalized the script, capping a screenplay development process that has slowly passed through several writers over the past decade.
Ford, 64, says he is "fit to continue" playing the adventurer and is looking forward to working with Lucas and Spielberg once again.
"Mostly, it's the charm of Harrison that makes it work," Lucas said.
The film, which Lucas says will feature "very interesting mysteries," is planned to be released in May 2008.
The series began in 1981 with Raiders of the Lost Ark, followed by 1984's Temple of Doom.
