Bindi Irwin Coming to Your TV Soon
Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late Steve Irwin (Crocodile Hunter), will begin her own career in front of the camera this week. Bindi is only 8 years old, yet will star in the 26-part Bindi, the Jungle Girl series on Discovery Kids network. She will also be making numerous promotional appearances on talk-shows including The Ellen Degeneres Show and The Late Show with David Letterman.
Steve Irwin, 44, died on September 4 from a freak accident involving a sting ray barb piercing his heart. The croc expert was filming a documentary of his own off the Australian coast at the time of the accident.
Fellow Australians Russell Crowe, Naomi Watts, and Rupert Murdoch will lend their support to Bindi at a gala dinner. Reps from Discovery indicated that Bindi's series will premier in the U.S. over the next few months.
