Isaiah Washington Faces Heat from GLAAD
Grey's Anatomy star Isaiah Washington is facing even more scrutiny after reportedly making anti-gay remarks about his co-star T.R. Knight last October.
The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation said Wednesday that it wants to meet with Washington to emphasize "the destructive impact of these kinds of anti-gay slurs."
Washington was said to have called Knight "a faggot" during an on-set scuffle with another co-star, Patrick Dempsey.
"Washington's repeated use of it on-set and in the media is simply inexcusable," said GLAAD President, Neil Giuliano.
Backstage at Monday's Golden Globes ceremony, Washington denied ever using the slur, telling reporters, "No, I did not call T.R. a faggot. Never happened, never happened."
After Washington's denial, Knight stood his ground during a taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show Tuesday.
"He referred to me as a faggot," Knight said. "Everyone heard it."
