Knightley Takes Tabloid to Court

Actress Keira Knightley is looking for justice against English tabloid, the Daily Mail. The 21-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean actress is suing the paper for an article in its January 11 issue regarding anorexia. The article was about the death of a teenage girl from anorexia. Near the article was a bikini-clad picture of Knightley, which could infer that the actress herself has an eating disorder. Her rep Simon Smith said in a statement, "Ms. Knightley has publicly denied suggestions that she might be anorexic or have a similar eating disorder, including in a prominent way at a well-publicized press conference...in London last summer." Smith added that the case "will show that she does not have anorexia; and further will challenge the suggestion that she is responsible and to blame for the tragic death of the teenage girl by setting a bad example."

The case could head to court later this year or early next year.
