Girls Gone Wild founder is fined half million for exploiting underage girls.
Joe Francis, 33, the founder of the infamous Girls Gone Wild videos was sentenced on Monday for exploiting minors. Francis admitted to including footage of two girls from 2002, even though he knew he had not obtained legible proof of their age. The two girls were seventeen.
As the result of a plea agreement reached yesterday, Francis was sentenced to 200 hours of community service and two years of probation, not to mention the $500,000 fine. In the court room, Francis' lawyer said that his client was not involved in the actual filming and is only guilty of failing to keep proper records.
