Playstation 3 to Be Released in Europe

Playstation 3 moving to Europe.

For those of us who remember, the November launch of Sony's next generation titan of a video game system, Playstation 3, was crazy. There were lines of thousands of people extending for blocks around retailers, as well as the hefty price tags posted on eBay by supply-and-demand profiteers.

Now, Europe gets to join in the fun. Sony will be releasing 1 million of its high-end units (including a 60 gigabyte hard drive and a blu-ray player) in Europe.

Sony's competition, XBOX 360 and Nintendo Wii, have already been released in Europe. PS3, which, graphically speaking, towers over its next-gen counterparts, may have a bit of a problem competing with the more available other systems.

Graphics is only part of the competition, though. Nintendo's Wii, while graphically dwarfed by the PS3, depends on its revolutionary interactive game play. XBOX 360, on the other hand, is graphically close, but falls back on its large network of on-line game play.
