Roth and Van Halen to Unite

David Lee Roth is rumored to be joining Van Halen on a summer tour.

What some might have thought would never happen, could possibly come true. David Lee Roth will once again be the frontman of legendary rock and roll band Van Halen. The band will reportedly be signing a deal that will have them performing on a 40-date tour this summer. This will be the first time Roth has fronted the band in twenty years. Roth will join his former band mates, Alex and Eddie Van Halen. The band's original bassist, Michael Anthony, has been replaced by Eddie's 15-year-old son, Wolfgang. The last time Van Halen toured was in 2004 with Sammy Hagar as the lead singer.

Roth alluded to a possible reunion back in May, telling Billboard, "To me, it's not rocket surgery. It's very simple to put together. And as far as hurt feelings and water under the dam, like what's-her-name says to what's-her-name at the end of the movie, Chicago -- 'So what? It's showbiz!' So I definitely see it happening."
