Singer Alanis Morissette and actor Ryan Reynolds have officially ended their engagement. The Canadian couple has decided to call it quits. The two made a joint statement through their reps confirming the split, saying, "Ryan Reynolds and Alanis Morissette have mutually decided to end their engagement. They remain close friends and continue to have the utmost love and admiration for each other. They ask that their privacy be respected surrounding this personal matter."
The couple was rumored to have split back in June, but was seen together a few weeks later. The 30-year-old Van Wilder actor met Morissette in 2002. Reynolds popped the question to the 32-year-old Grammy award-winning singer in 2004.
