Rock the Climate Change

Al Gore spearheading largest concert event ever.

Former Vice President Al Gore is taking the global warming information campaign to the next level. This time, a 24-hour concert series spanning across seven continents is in the works. Labeled "Live Earth," the music extravaganza will take place on July 7, 2007 and be streamed live on MSN. Gore is confident that more than 100 of the top musicians in the world will participate, and the audience could reach 2 billion viewers (combining television, radio, and Web.)

Included within Live Earth will be a campaign called Save Our Selves (SOS), founded by Live 8 producer Kevin Wall. Wall has confirmed many participating artists already, including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Pharrell, Lenny Kravitz, Bon Jovi, John Mayer, and Keane.

Al Gore enjoyed enormous success donning the director's cap with his global warming documentary, An Inconvenient Truth.
