Jeff Goldblum Wins Restraining Order Against Crazed Fan
The Fly actor, Jeff Goldblum, 52, has won a restraining order against a woman he claims has been stalking him since 2001.
Court documents filed on Feb. 7 said that Linda Ransom, 44, followed him home from the acting school where he teaches, and to a jazz club where he performs with his band, the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, and showed up at the actor's house 20 times in the past month and 50 times in the past three months. She parked her car diagonally outside his driveway so that he couldn't leave the premises at least seven times.
"She also sent harassing and threatening letters, stalked me at various locations, physically attacked my employee and accosted me," said Goldblum in the document.
Ransom said in a statement that she was seeking Golblum's assistance with her screenplay, and she one time followed the teacher unknowingly to his residence.
A Los Angeles judge has ordered Ransom to stay at least 100 yards away from Goldblum.
Goldblum will star in the ABC drama, Raines, premiering next month.
