Radcliffe Signs On for Final Two Potter Films
Daniel Radcliffe has signed on for two more Harry Potter films. The young Brit has already starred in the first five, with the fifth one due out this year. The sixth is set to start filming in September.
Radcliffe, 17, has been subject to whispers from movie critics, who wonder whether the boy wizard has lost his fan base as a result of his recent role in Equus. In Peter Schaffer's controversial play, Radcliffe took on the role of a young stable hand who ritually blinds horses and appears fully nude for some scenes. Radcliffe, however, has received rave reviews for proving himself capable of taking on a challenging acting role.
There has been recent renewed excitement for the series, as author J.K. Rowling just revealed the title of the final installment in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The series has sold upwards of 325 million books since the series was first introduced.
