Michael Jackson to Spend Quality Time With Fans in Japan

He will host a VIP party and a fan art contest

Michael Jackson made his first official appearance in Japan since he was cleared of child molestation charges in 2005. The King of Pop was obviously missed. He was rushed through Narita Airport in Tokyo on Sunday amid screaming fans holding up signs of their devotion. Jackson has said that Japan is "one of my favorite places in the entire world." Jackson will host an exclusive party on Thursday, where he will grant fans one minute of face time with him. It is unclear of whether he will perform for the event. For fans not fortunate enough to attend the VIP party, which reportedly is charging $3,500 a ticket, Jackson is also hosting a fan art contest. The winners will have brunch with the singer and have their photo taken beside him. Since his U.S. court case, Jackson has been living in Bahrain, France and Ireland. He performed at the World Music Awards in London last November.
