Jenna Bush to publish with Harper Collins
The publisher Harper Collins has announced in a press release that George W. Bush’s daughter Jenna has signed on to write her first book, based on her experiences working with UNICEF in Panama, Paraguay and Argentina.
According to the L.A. Times, the book will recount the story of a 17-year dealing with motherhood and HIV. Jenna wishes to use the book as a vehicle “to motivate young Americans to increase their awareness of young people around the world,” she says in a statement.
The 24-year-old Bush has been an intern with UNICEF's Educational Policy Department in Latin America since fall of 2006, writes Josh Getlin of the LA Times. Her book, tentatively titled Inclusion, is due to be releases in the fall of 2007. Rumors of a small bidding war seem to place her contract in excess of 300,000 dollars according to RadarOnline. The movie and television industry are also showing some interest.
