*NSYNC's Lance Bass to Pen Memoir
8-Mar-2007
Written by: Courtney Thompson
“Out of Sync“ will talk about Bass’ rise to fame and his sexuality.
Former *NSYNC member, Lance Bass, is set to write a memoir called Out of Sync, about “his life, his music and his sexuality,” according to Simon & Schuster.
Bass will chronicle his years with *NSYNC, from the group’s early years, to their eventual stardom and falling out with manager Lou Pearlman. He will also write about his time spent in Russia in ‘02, training to be the first boy band member in space, only to be disappointed by not being able to raise the funds needed to blast off.
He will get personal as he describes having to keep his sexuality a secret from the group’s young female fans at the height of *NSYNC’s success and his coming out last July, as well as his relationship with reality TV star, Reichen Lehmkuhl of Amazing Race.
“This I promise you,” said Vice President of Simon Spotlight Entertainment, Jennifer Bergstrom. “Out of Sync will be the much-talked about memoir of the fall season.”
Out of Sync is expected to be released in October.
