Actors Get Lost in Aspen Mountains
12-Mar-2007
Written by: Courtney Thompson

Fisher Stevens, Chad Lowe and Rob Morrow needed a rescue team after participating in charity event.

Actors Rob Morrow (Northen Exposure), Chad Lowe (24) and Fisher Stevens (guest on Friends, Frasier and Law and Order) got more than they bargained for on Saturday when fog and snow squalls in the mountains of Colorado caused the trio to get lost for several hours.

The previous day they all competed in the 11th Annual Celebrity Downhill, which raises money for the Aspen Youth Experience, a nonprofit organization that takes children out of their poverty stricken homes of domestic violence to go on 10-day extreme sports excursions.

The weather conditions and the mountain’s unfamiliar terrain caused the actors to not see the roped off area. Pretty soon they were all lost.

Morrow told the Aspen Times that they ended up “going every which way” until the three came across a snowboarder who was lost as well. The boarder used his cell phone to call his sister, who called the Aspen Ski Patrol.

The group took three hours to make it safely back down to the ground.

“It ended up being great because it was a good adventure,” said Morrow.
