Fresh Sex Scandal for "American Idol"
In keeping with the sex scandal theme this season on "American Idol," former contestant Mario Vazquez has been slapped with a sexual harassment lawsuit. The 2005 season Idol-hopeful is facing accusations of making sexual advances on assistant accountant Magdaleno Olmos, a male employee of the company at the time.
Olmos has charged Vazquez with attempting to masturbate in front of him, and also offering to perform sex acts on the accountant. According to Olmos, the ex-Idol attempted all of this in a bathroom stall on the set of the show during February of 2005.
Olmos claims that he managed to escape from the stall and reported the incident to superior, Eric LaPointe. According to Olmos, his claims were met with the comment that he was "crazy," accompanied by the threat of being fired. The assistant accountant's job was terminated a few months later. Olmos has also brought a suit against Fox Entertainment and Freemantle Media for a wrongful termination suit. Fox reps, however, deny being served with papers.
