AI Recap of March 13
Last night's American Idol proved that the girls are the ones to beat. Melinda Doolittle's performance was flawless. When she sang, she got lost in the moment. She's humble, gorgeous and the girl's got IT! When you can give Diane Ross goosebumps, you know she has something special. Speaking of Diana Ross, she was an amazing mentor to the group and provided much needed love and support at this critical stage. Right there behind her is Lakisha Jones who also has it, with an amazing performance and a powerful voice. Unfortunately, the judges send mixed messages and Chris Sligh tried to be unique, he tried to bring something different, and it just didn't work. Let's just not forget past performances at this stage. The guy's got talent, he's got the personality and he should remain.
Now, on to the conspiracy theory and why Sanjaya Malakar, who cannot sing, who cannot move, who obviously does not have what it takes to be an Idol, is remaining in the competition. We all know he has the likability factor that is drawing those teenage girls to vote for him. We all have heard about the Indian heritage aspect and the votes there. But, rumor has it there's yet another aspect keeping such a poor voice in the competition - sabotage. Yes, America - sabotage right here on our favorite show. It's not Rosie O'Donnell this time - it's Howard Stern. Howard hates American Idol. He's apparently not a minority. He has taken this dislike and appealed to his listening audience to sabotage the show. To vote for someone who is not a good singer. To vote for the worst singer left on the stage - that would be Sanjaya Malakar at this point in the competition. So, do not be surprised when tomorrow we report that Sanjaya has not left the competition. If you disagree with Howard Stern, which we hope you do, tune in next week and be sure to start casting your votes. Let's turn this unfortunate situation around.
