Highly anticipated series finale will be printed in record-breaking 12-million-copy run.
J.K. Rowling's beloved boy wizard is all set for his final adventure. Publisher Scholastic Corp. has announced that it will print the seventh and final book in the series, in a record-shattering 12-million-copy run. The release date for the highly anticipated series finale is set for July 21, 2007. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is accompanied by a multimillion dollar marketing campaign.
Harry Potter fans have been speculating wildly about the ending, with the possibility of Rowling's hero meeting his demise, growing in strength among followers of the series.
To date, J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series has sold a staggering 325 million copies and been translated into 64 different languages. It has also generated five box-office hit films (with more expected) with the release of the fifth, entitled Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, scheduled for release on July 13, a week before Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows hits bookstores.
