Cowell Worth More than Springsteen?

Simon Cowell claims to be worth five times more than rocker Bruce Springsteen, reports the Associated Press.

Cowell says he sells more records than the rock and roll star, who recently signed a contract reported to be around $100 million. Cowell said he sells so many records because he signed "the biggest artist on the planet," - American Idol.

"I mean, in the last five years, I've probably sold over 100 million records. If (Springsteen) got one hundred (million dollars), I should have got five hundred (million dollars)," Cowell said.

Idol winners are signed through Sony BMG, and Idol is sold to over 30 countries, Cowell said. Idol contestants' albums are distributed by labels within the Sony BMG system.

Though Cowell did not reveal his worth, he said that $100 million was a "great deal" - for Springsteen.
