Regis' Recovery Going Very Well
Regis Philbin is recovering well after this week's surgery.
Kelly Ripa says co-host Regis Philbin is recovering nicely after undergoing heart bypass surgery this week, reports the Associated Press.
According to Ripa, 75-year-old Philbin is "up joking around with the nurses and the doctors." She also said the doctor told her that "Regis Philbin has the heart of a 19-year-old."
On Monday's show, Regis told audiences, "there's some plaque in some arteries and I've got to get it cleaned out.
