Sandler Fills In for Ill Letterman

Letterman left ill before taping began Tuesday.
Host David Letterman showed up Tuesday to tape the Late Show, but left sick, blaming a stomach bug. Guest Adam Sandler was promptly asked to fill in, reports the Associated Press.
Letterman has had many long absences since his heart surgery and a case of the shingles. However, this is the first time Letterman has showed up and had to leave work.
Fortunately for Letterman, Wednesday’s show is already taped, and his Thursday and Friday shows will be postponed due to CBS’ coverage of the NCAA basketball tournament.
