DVD Dribble

Just about everyone has heard of the films covered in this DVD Dribble.
Some popular movies are making their way into stores. Among the big named celebrities that star in the films in this DVD Dribble are Penelope Cruz, Will Ferrell, and Leonardo DiCaprio.
This edition of the DVD Dribble kicks off with Man for All Seasons (Special Edition). It is the 1966 Best Picture reissue. The film takes place in 16th-century England and involves the corrupt monarchy of King Henry VIII. There are no special features on this DVD.
Penelope Cruz was nominated for an Academy Award for her role in Volver. The film, which was directed by renowned Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar, is about a mother who dies and goes back to her hometown to try and fix all of the things she did wrong. The DVD is also available in the Spanish format version, Blu-ray, and DVD and CD set. This DVD does not contain any special features either.
Funny man Will Ferrell takes more of a serious turn in Stranger Than Fiction, a film about a man who is living the life that an author writes in her book. Maggie Gyllenhaal, Queen Latifah, and Dustin Hoffman also appear in the film. The DVD features deleted and extended scenes. It also has featurettes which include, “Actors in Search of a Story,” “Building a Team,” “On Location in Chicago,” “Words on a Page,” “Picture a Number,” and “On the Set.” It contains English and French audio tracks and subtitles. The film also has a Blu-ray version.
Two of Blood Diamond’s actors were nominated for Oscars this year. Leonardo DiCaprio and Djimon Hounsou star in the film about the search of a priceless diamond. The Blood Diamond DVD is available in full screen, widescreen, and Two-Disc Special Edition. The DVD includes commentary by director Edward Zwick and contains English, Spanish, and French audio tracks and subtitles. The Two-Disc Special Edition has added features like the “Blood on Stone” documentary, three featurettes, Nas’ “Shine On Em” music video, and the theatrical trailer.
Another film with a bunch of different editions is Casino Royale, the latest in the James Bond series. It’s available in widescreen two-disc special edition, full screen two-disc special edition, UMD, and Blu-ray. This time, James Bond is played by British actor Daniel Craig. The two-disc special editions include the featurettes “Becoming Bond,” “James Bond: For Real,” “Bond Girls Are Forever,” and Chris Cornell’s “You Know My Name” music video.
This edition of the DVD Dribble contained a lot of critically acclaimed films. Some were even nominated for Academy Awards.
