1-Apr-2007
Written by: Jonathan Napolitano
12-year-old is a vacuum genious
A 12-year-old boy, Kyle Krichbaum, who has collected more than 150 vacuum cleaners in his short existence, now says that he is learning to identify each of them, solely by sound.
Kyle also has bigger plans up ahead. He’s actually been currently in Hollywood taping a game-show pilot where he competed against other contestants blindfolded and had to correctly identify vacuum models from just using his ears to hear and recognize which was which.
Kyle’s parents, Randy and MaryLynn Krichbaum, said that they both noticed that as a child, something about vacuums just fascinated Kyle because he would play with a toy vacuum constantly as a toddler.
Kyle’s unique hobby has been so recognizable that it actually landed him a guest appearance on NBC’s, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, early this year. Kyle wowed Leno with his knowledge of vacuums, while also discussing his dreams of owning his own vacuum shop one day.
