Usher Will Wed

The R&B singer to take the plunge.
Usher is now spoken for. The R&B singer has confirmed that he and his long-time girlfriend, Tameka Foster, are engaged to be married. The singer’s spokesperson broke the news on Friday that the star will wed his stylist girlfriend, hopefully before 2007 is done, it would seem. It didn’t help either, that Usher was reportedly introducing Foster as his fiancée.
The wedding rumors flared up when Foster was spotted possibly sporting a diamond ring on her ring finger. Usher, 28, is a five-time Grammy winner. Rumor has it that Usher’s mother/manager, Jonetta Patton, has had a rocky history with Foster and may not be thrilled about the engagement. It is said that Patton has had a falling-out with her son’s love interest in the past, even firing the girl as Usher’s stylist. Her reason for the lay-off was that Foster was not “dressing him according to the caliber of star he was.”
Foster has been married once before and only recently divorced her husband. She also has three children and is ten years Usher’s senior.
