2-Apr-2007

In an interview with People magazine, promoting her new album, Dignity, Hilary Duff commented on the pressure she feels to be thin.
Singer and actress Hilary Duff, 19, claims to have never had a weight problem, but says according to the media she's either too fat or too thin, which can be "hurtful." Duff said insightfully, "But you'll never make them happy."
The interview came in the wake of her newest CD's release on April 3. Dignity, Duff's fifth album, has been said to be influenced by her now ex-boyfriend, Joel Madden, of Good Charlotte. She has even had to deny claims that one track, titled "Gypsy Woman," is about her ex's new girlfriend, Nicole Richie, but she doesn't deny that some songs are about Hollywood in general, which would include Richie.
Duff said, "'Dignity' is a song that is definitely about people in Hollywood. I wouldn't say that it is about her specifically, but it is about people that kind of do what she does and act the way she acts."
