Howard K. Stern Withdraws DNA Appeal
2-Apr-2007
Written by: Courtney Thompson

The appeal was withdrawn when it appeared that judges seemed skeptical.

According to the Associated Press, Howard K. Stern has dropped his bid to block the findings of the DNA test results that will reveal who Dannielynn’s father is on Monday.

All three judges that were present at the Court of Appeal told Stern that he filed his complaint too late. He should have objected before the Supreme Court ordered the DNA test which was requested by Larry Birkhead, a former boyfriend of Anna Nicole Smith, who claims he could potentially be the father.

Stern is listed as the father on the birth cerificate. The infant also holds Stern’s surname. Dannielynn’s DNA was tested on March 21, but results have not been revealed.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hold a hearing on Tuesday, but according to Bahamian legal rules, judges and attorneys are prohibited from discussing the case at all.
