Halle Berry Receives Star on Walk of Fame

Actress Halle Berry, who has dazzled movie-goers for years with her good looks and intriguing film roles, such as Die Another Day and Monster's Ball, has finally receieved the 2,333rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Berry's star is located after Dick Wolf's, producer of Law and Order and Vanessa Williams, former Miss America and now producer of Ugly Betty. Berry was extremely excited about the star, explaining to the Houston Chronicle, "I am so emotional ... as soon as I saw the crowds of people and friends here, I started to cry."

According to the Los Angeles Times, Berry was being considered for a star in 2003, but scheduling conflicts prevented her from accepting the honor until now.

Despite being runner-up in the Miss USA pageant in 1986, Halle Berry quickly was noticed by ABC and began her acting career on the series, Living Dolls, which lasted for only 13 episodes. Later, in 1993, Berry landed the lead role of Queen in the series, Queen: The Story of the American Family. In 1998, her big break came when she won an Emmy, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in Introducing Dorothy Dandridge. In 2001, she was voted Best Actress when she was given her Academy Award for her work in Monster's Ball. She finally received Bond girl status in Die Another Day and will play a New York newspaper reporter in the upcoming film, Perfect Stranger.
