Top 10 movies of the week
For the first time in two weeks, a new movie sits atop the box office list.
Disturbia, the new thriller starring up-and-coming actor, Shia LaBeouf, made an estimated $23 million over the weekend. This is a good sign for LaBeouf, who has several new movies coming out in the near future, including the highly anticipated Transformers.
Falling to number two was the Will Ferrell comedy, Blades of Glory. The former box office champ made $14.1 million, bringing its total to $90.2 million.
Coming in right behind Blades, for the third straight week, was the family film, Meet the Robinsons, with $12.1 million. Its three-week total is now $72 million.
Debuting in the number four spot was the new thriller, Perfect Stranger, starring Halle Berry and Bruce Willis, making only $11.5 million.
Rounding out the top ten were Are We Done Yet?, Pathfinder, Wild Hogs, The Reaping, 300, and Grindhouse.
