Lisa Rinna Usurps Joan and Melissa Rivers

The Riverses’ contract with the TV Guide Channel not renewed.
Actress Lisa Rinna has usurped Joan and Melissa Rivers on the red carpet. The TV Guide Channel fired the mother-daughter duo from their gig as fashion commentators on the red carpet. The Riverses have been with the TV Guide Channel since 2005, after leaving E! Entertainment Television. The pair’s contract with TV Guide expired, but it is suspected that the channel made the decision not to renew the deal.
Joan, the 73-year-old comedienne-turned-fashion-commentator, and daughter Melissa received farewell wishes from the Guide Channel’s president, Ryan O’Hara, who said, “We wish them the best in their future endeavors.” Rinna comes to the show after guest starring on Veronica Mars and hosting SoapNet’s Soap Talk. Rinna is also a Dancing With the Stars alum. Rinna, 43, is no stranger to fashion, either, having served as a fashion correspondent for Access Hollywood as well as owning a California-based women’s clothing line, Belle Gray.
