DVD Dribble
The DVDs covered in this Dribble are all independent films. Most of them aren't well known, but some do have some famous actors in them.
Grey's Anatomy's Ellen Pompeo stars in the first film in this Dribble, Life of the Party. It's about a former high school track star who is now in his thirties and loves to drink cocktails. His family and friends set up an intervention to try and get him to stop his partying ways, but when the psychiatrist fails to show, a party breaks out instead. There are no special features on this DVD.
Up next is a film that goes by two names, Sleeping Dogs Lie and Stay. Comedian "Bobcat" Goldthwait wrote and directed the film about a couple who decides to be completely honest with each other and reveals their dark secrets. It has English audio tracks and Spanish subtitles.
The Trouble with Men and Women is a film about how relationships between men and women can either be really good or really bad. This DVD does not contain any special features.
A highly anticipated movie heads to a theater without giving the workers much notice. As a result, chaos ensues in Surviving the Rush. The 80-minute DVD does not have any special features.
Take a look at one of the wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon, in American Experience: Lost in the Grand Canyon. The film follows a 35-year-old, one-armed Civil War veteran and a scientist who get lost in the Grand Canyon for 99 days. This DVD also does not contain any special features.
Morgan Freeman plays himself in 10 Items or Less. It's about an actor who is preparing for a role and goes on a road trip with a grocery clerk he just met. The DVD includes commentary by director Brad Silberling, a making-of featurette, photo gallery, and a surprise bonus.
Donald Sutherland, Joshua Jackson, and Juliette Lewis star in Aurora Borealis. In the film, a young man tries to fix his life after the surprising death of his father. This film nabbed a couple of awards at film festivals. There are no special features on this DVD either.
This edition of the DVD Dribble closes off with a thriller. The Aura is about an epileptic taxidermist who is looking to commit the perfect crime. The DVD includes a making-of featurette, behind-the-scenes: a musical montage, and the trailer.
