Prince Harry is Going to War

Despite worries over kidnapping plots and the fact that 146 British soldiers have been killed in Iraq, 22 year old Prince Harry is being sent to the war zone.

General Sir Richard Dannatt, head of British Army, has confirmed Harry's deployment was decided after much review. Dannatt added, "If circumstances are such that I change that decision, I will make a further statement."

Harry will be in The Blues and Royal regiment as part of a reconnaissance unit. British Prime Minister Tony Blair's February announcement to withdraw 1,600 troops from the war over the next few months has apparently not deterred the often considered wilder brother of William. Harry seems eager to serve his country. The young prince was previously quoted as saying he would not, "put myself through Sandhurst and then sit on my sorry arse back home while my boys are out fighting for their country."
